quick update

It's been a while since my last update. We took a week off work to renovate the condo. It wasn't much of a vacation since we got up at 6am everyday to repaint and assemble furniture.. it was like a full time job but instead of 8 hours, it was 12-14 hour days. Below are some pics of our progress. I don't have any recent pictures since the condo is still a mess and I'm working on organizing it. I apologize for the crappy pics, they were taken at awkward moments lol. Will post new pictures soon!

Painting over my mistake

I've realized my mistake of picking the wrong paint!! I asked my dad to check out the condo and see if the paint is light blue or light grey - he said it's blue! Ugh! I am so dissatisfied with the colour but he said if I feel that way then I should change the colour and he'll pay for it..again. I feel horrible but he doesn't like the colour either.. soo I guess I should change it (I'm such a spoiled princess sometimes..). I should have done more research and bought samples!!!

The good news is that I've finally settled on a colour - BM Revere Pewter. It's the greige that every designer/interior design blogger is raving about these days. My materials consist of espresso engineered hardwood, espresso cabinets, white quartz counter top and a muddy/grey marble-like backsplash. I think this colour would look AMAZING on the wall! I sneakily said to hubby that we have to repaint since I absolutely hate the colour (he wasn't happy) and I begged.. haha.. I can't live with it!! More updates to come..

I got my keys!

I'm a first-time 'home' owner! It's actually a condo, officially 99% owner.. We had done the pre-delivery inspection on Apr 27th and I received the keys on May 3rd. I was excited at first, then quickly realized how much pre-moving work had to be done. Starting with paint.... My parents were very adamant with buying paint from Benjamin Moore.. and so I did (they paid for it because it's $75/gallon!!!??). Silly me didn't do more research about different grey hues/undertones (which is the colour I wanted, straight up grey). I ended up picking "Cement Gray" and upon painting the walls I noticed sort of a blue undertone and it is driving me nuts! I'm too lazy to change the colour now because it's taken us almost 10 hours to paint about 800 sq ft of wall... I hope hope hope that I'll just get used to it. Here are some pics.. hopefully it will look better once the furniture is set. More posts to come!!
